I hope you know by now my dear reader, blogging (writing) helps me to clarify my thinking. It is in this regard, I decided to blog today.
I completed my ACCA in 1996. My experience on tax has been gained only through my practice. TBH, I am finding more and more, that I am not even up to date with the basics. Tax software, like TaxCalc, is my lazy way out at present. This is just not good enough. Continue reading “Back to Tax School?”
In one of my previous blogs, I mentioned that I will share my plan on how I will spend my time in 2015.
So far, some of the key aspects are now sorted. These are: 1) Office space and 2) branding. I am now set up for expansion. In that regard, I met a marketing consultant today to help me with an integrated marketing action plan. Continue reading “Work for 2015”

Over the past few months, the competition for accountancy and tax services has become fierce.
I had some good quality enquiries. I lost out because my fees were higher than others. I could not lower them anymore at the time.
They are accountants whose views are never drop your prices- do not compete on fees. Further, they go on and say they are clients who are looking for quality. This used to be my view. Continue reading “Client Power”
