From my weight loss table, I noted that I made good progress with my weight loss from 13/07/2016 to 17/12/2016. I lost 13.9 lbs. It is nearly a stone. That was good.
After 17/12/2016, I have put on most of the weight I lost. The date from which I began to pile on the weight is interesting because it was both the Christmas period and stressful tax returns season. Combined with these factors, winter is always depressing, and there was a substantial increase in workload as a result of fee bank purchase in November 2016.
Going forwards, my workload will not get easier. There is the property purchase, the move and get everything sorted will be one STRESSFUL period. To this, I have also added ATT study ( I so need to do it).
Truth be known, being obese affects all areas of my life. To outsiders, I may appear all okay and with it. It is not the case.
Not succeeding with weight loss, does not mean I should stop trying. Okay, what should I do to help myself (I know about eating less!)
- On Evernote, maintain a food dairy (may share this). Then a weekly review of the diary. To see how can I improve the following week.
- Drink water during the day, not just morning and evening. After 4-mile cycle commute to the office, I need to drink water during the day. It will reduce sugar cravings and appetite.
- Get enough sleep. There is evidence connecting weight gain with the lack of sleep.
- Share/blog my experience. There is something in writing everything down; it helps a person to change.
Before 2017 is out
To get to my target weight, as of today, I have 50 lbs to lose. We have 43 weeks left before the end of 2017. Based on 1 lb a week loss, there is still time for me to lose 43lbs before 2017 is out. Just think (talking to myself), how much the quality of my life will improve by carrying 47 lbs less!
