Hello, 2015

apple on a branchFor me, 2014 from a business perspective was tough. Rebranding, pricing, staff issues and marketing took a lot out of me. I did not have a clear plan with time scales to do what I wanted to do.

Understandably all the time I was thinking client recruitment. This is vital. At the same time, it is equally important to make sure other areas of business are in control. As I mentioned in one of my previous blogs, it is important to keep all the key balls in the air.

I want 2015 to be a year where I take time out to plan (What is it that I want), how long and when and who will do the work. Rather than operating on gut instinct.

There is no point in trying to do it all. Time does not allow for this. It is important for me to work on key areas. What is key would be dependent what is it that I want.

Please allow me to repeat myself again from my one of previous blogs. We are living in a world where we have so many distractions and options. For example, social media can be a distraction. At the same time, if used in the correct way it can be a key benefit. It is important that I make the right choices on what I should spend my time. That would be dependent on what I want.

It is so important that I keep wasting my time to an absolute minimum. As I get older, I value my time far more. Each passing second means that limiting factor is getting more limited!

I do not mean be all work and no play person. I mean set aside time for play and make sure that I work efficiently (tasks that lead me to meet my goals) during the working hours.

We have excellent technology to manage our time in an efficient way. I did not manage my time well in 2014.

I may talk about my plans in future blogs.

It is important that I do not underestimate the need to have a life outside work. What is it for otherwise?

I want 2015, to be more than a list of resolutions put aside after the first week or so of the new year. I hope through blogging I will be able to do this.

A Happy New Year folks! Make the most of 2015!
